Digital Reflection Panel Review–Update 4/27/17

I posted in my initial review of the Digital Reflection Panel about the who, what, when, where, why and how’s.

In this post, I just want to do a quick update.

I installed the DRP box on March 9, 2017 and I was credited $25 to my account on for installation and speed bonus.

On April 3, 2017 I was credited $5 to my account for monthly meter activity (leaving it plugged in for more than 90% of the time)

On April 14, 2017, I was asked to update and install security certificates on my devices and was credited $25 to my account.

Since you can only redeem your rewards in increments of $50 and I had $55 in my account, I redeemed an award for $50 on April 16, 2017.

I redeemed a PayPal card which reached my PayPal account on April 21, 2017.

I am almost to the end of another 30 day cycle and will be credited an additional $5 and then when they ask me to update, I will get another $5 (the first few months give you more as you get bonuses).

In the nearly two months since I have had the box, I haven’t noticed it at all. However, over the last three days, my internet has been randomly getting disrupted. My ISP is sending a technician tomorrow, as they think I have a damaged cable outside, but if it does not fix the issue, I will unhook the DRP box and see if it is causing interference. I will update on that as soon as I have made a conclusion.

As long as the box is not causing the disruptions, I would recommend using it unless you do work from your home that prohibits such things. (I work from home, but I do not have this issue). You will get paid about $200 a year to do nothing but what you are already doing aside from an occasional update that takes like two minutes.

At first I was skeptical about someone gathering my information, but in reality, it is already being gathered every time I log on. At least this company rewards me for allowing it.

  1. I was a member of the panel from July, 2016 until today when they couldn’t fix their faulty equipment and forced me to resign and forfeit my earnings balance!!!! WARNING FOLKS!!!!

    1. Oh no!!! Did you have a lot in your balance? I am doing it mainly to review it because I heard about it, but no one just talked frankly about it. I figured it is best to pull balance every time I hit $50, but now it will be a while. Since I am a freelance writer, if it is what is causing my internet disruption it will have to go.

  2. I currently had $20 and yes, I would suggest requesting payments for every $50. I had (with “bonuses”) earned $150 via pay pal. I was hoping the trend would continue. There were various times the “blue light” on the bottom was not lit and then I would unplug everything, reset my router, plug back in and it would work. This last time (in March) that did not work, so the opened a call ticket to their tech team via a phone call. It took two months for a reply, even though I would e-mail them every other week and ask about the progress. Today, I got an e-mail that said “Thank you for contacting Digital Reflection Panel.
We have reviewed the technical problem you reported and we escalated to our technical support team. Unfortunately our tech support is not able to resolve the problem. Unfortunately our only solution is to resign you from the panel.   We appreciate your interest and regret losing you as a valued member of our panel.
We will be resigning your household from the Digital Reflection Panel within the next day or so. Please note that you will no longer be able to log in to the panelist portal after we resign you and that you will forfeit all rewards in your rewards account. Amounts under $50 have no redeemable value.
Please keep all the items handy so that you can mail them back to us sometime in the future. We will notify you when a prepaid envelope is being sent for you to return the meter.” So, I e-mailed back and also a message via their website. I got a phone call on my cell (while I was still at work) and they left a message stating that they couldn’t redeem my balance to me, but to please call them about reinstalling the meter and being on the panel…WHAT??? Your e-mail says the opposite!

      1. One would think passive income is OK…maybe with another company. I feel like smashing their equipment and sending it back, but that would be childish.

  3. I been with them for quiet a while now. have redeem twice already and now my meter does not work since July 14th. I have made a ticket to them and they called me. they told me how to do a troubleshoot and nothing worked. They than told me they were going to send it to technical support team and that was July 19th and still to this day my meter does not work and I have a balance of $40 on the account. The blue light is completely gone. I have a feeling that this equipment have a time limit. If the item does not work why send it back. They reprogram them and reuse them again. That is my thought

    1. I had issues after several months with them stating the box was unplugged when it was not. I returned box to them and lost $45 credit as they would not send another box. The technical support is definitely lacking.
